  1. I really liked how Renatta Cooper talked about us as professionals that we need to take our ego out first if we are going to do our work helping children. I do understand why she said that because sometimes all I want to do is to make sure that the parents are satisfied with the way I am taking care of their child. But once I do that I am becoming a nanny rather than a teacher. We should always do what's best for the child

  2. I feel like the quote about helping parents understand the resources that are available for their children is so important because I have learned that a lot of the time, parents are just not aware of what is out there. We have the opportunity to help parents recognize the resources that they have to benefit their child's lives. As early childhood educators, it is important to be in constant communication with the parents because they need to know and understand what is happening in their child's lives, and it also helps the teacher understand what is happening outside of school, with the child.

  3. I love all these quotes from the different professionals! Some of them, I even thought of putting down myself. I love Louise's' quote a lot. I think that often, especially now in schools, curicculum is what most schools are going by. I think that the environments that are most engaging with the way students can learn and grow is so important! They need to be able to grow and learn in an environment that they feel safe and also that they can learn at their pace. Great quotes.
